SNB Updates Reporting Forms for Capital Adequacy Under Basel III
SNB updated the capital adequacy reporting forms (release 2.8) and instructions for Basel III. The reporting frequency for parent company is quarterly while the frequency for consolidated reporting is semi-annual. The forms are valid for reporting from December 31, 2018. The forms, which are required on a quarterly basis, must be submitted within six weeks of the reporting date.
Data are collected by SNB on behalf of FINMA. Changes made include the following:
- Changes to the key metrics overview (Key Metrics), due to a revision of the presentation requirements
- Corrections to the point concerning own funds, at the level of special provisions for banks that draw up their accounts on the basis of the relevant international requirements
- Clarifications to the comments of the "CRSEC" formula
- Adaptation of the designation of a post of the CVA form
- Adaptation of a consistency review rule in the "OPRLOSSDETAILS" formula
