SNB Releases Reporting Forms for SIBs Under Basel III
SNB released forms for reporting of capital adequacy of systemically important banks (SIBs) under Basel III. The forms are for reporting on a consolidated basis (as of June 20, 2018) and at the parent company level (as of March 31, 2018).
The form covers eligible and required capital, credit risks, non-counterparty related risks, market risks, operational risks, and leverage ratio. Banks and financial groups that are systemically important under the terms of Articles 7 and 8 of the Banking Act are required to report this data. The reporting frequency at the parent company level (PSIB) is quarterly while the frequency for reporting at the group level (CSIB) is semi-annual. Data are collected by SNB on behalf of FINMA.
