PRA Updates Instructions on PRA102 and PRA103 Capital+ Forecast

    January 31, 2018

PRA updated the instructions on filling in data points in the reporting forms PRA102 Capital+ forecast and PRA103 Capital+ forecast. PRA 102 has semi-annual reporting frequency while PRA 103 is annual. These instructions are for the specific purpose of assisting firms to complete the Capital+ data items. The Capital+ validation checks are essentially a subset of COREP validations.

The instructions are intended solely for this purpose and are based the Capital Requirements Directive IV (CRD IV) publications to date. Data should be compiled using a consistent and prudent methodology. Firms should have appropriate governance and procedures to ensure accuracy of the data, which should include sign-off by an appropriate senior committee. The submission is focused on forward projections (forecasts), not the actuals data for the latest reporting date (as these will have been provided through COREP reporting). The latest reporting date will be relevant only as a base date for anchoring forward projections.
