DNB Issues Several Reporting Updates for Banks in February 2021
DNB published several reporting updates, along with an updated list of additional data requests for banks. The updated data requests, which have been highlighted with the word "UPDATE" in red, include semi-recurring as well as ad hoc data requests to banks from DNB and European agencies. The updates include additional data quality checks for the first quarter of 2021 (run from April 01, 2021) for reporting by banks. Another key development relates to the DNB announcement that the Liability Data Report (LDR) reporting obligation has been made available in the Digital Reporting Portal or DLR, as of February 17, 2021, with the reporting deadline of March 17, 2021.
Additional key reporting updates are as follows:
- A new version of the file "Required templates and filing indicators" has been made available for reports with reference date of December 2020 and onward; the file contains changes on which ECB and EBA have jointly agreed. If already submitted reports do not meet the requirements, DNB will ask for re-submissions.
- Banks are being requested to submit the annual Remuneration Report only in XBRL format, as of the reference date December 31, 2020. DNB shall not accept reports submitted in Excel format. EBA is soon going to release a new taxonomy version for the Remuneration report and banks are requested to wait for this publication from EBA (version REM 1.0.1) before submitting the report. DNB will communicate when EBA publishes this new taxonomy version, which is expected at the end of first quarter of 2021. However, the usual reporting deadline remains unchanged and will be maintained as June 30, 2021.
- The second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) Fraud Reporting shall be reported in Excel format on the basis of an adjusted template version 1.4 (communicated on DLR in November 2020). The deadline to submit PSD2 Fraud Report (for the reference date December 31, 2020) is March 31, 2021.
- A new version of the frequently asked questions (FAQs), prepared by ECB, on the COVID-19 data request has been made available.
