APRA Published Final Reporting Standards on Securitization and CCyB
APRA published, via a letter, its response to submissions received on its February 2017 proposal to revise the reporting requirements for securitization and countercyclical capital buffer (CCyB). APRA also released final versions of the reporting standards, namely ARS 110.0 on capital adequacy, ARS 120.1 on Securitization—Regulatory Capital, and ARS 120.2 on Securitization—Supplementary Items. The standards will come into effect on January 01, 2018.
The consultation included the following two minor amendments to the reporting framework:
To align Reporting Standard ARS 120.0 Securitization—Regulatory Capital (ARS 120.0) and Reporting Standard ARS 120.1 Securitization—Supplementary Items (ARS 120.1) with the revised Prudential Standard APS 120 Securitization (APS 120), including consequential changes to Reporting Standard ARS 110.0 Capital Adequacy (ARS 110.0)
To capture in ARS 110.0 the CCyB ratio applying to authorized deposit-taking institutions (ADIs).
APRA received one submission for each proposal. Minor amendments have been made to the reporting forms and instructions in response to the submission about securitization measures, including the renumbering of the reporting standards from those issued for consultation. Additionally, the submission about the CCyB reporting requirement was fully supportive of the proposed change.
