BoE published a public working draft of the BoE Banking eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) Taxonomy Version 3.0.0 and related technical artefacts. Firms and software vendors are invited to provide feedback on the public working draft of the technical artefacts by March 20, 2018.
The draft includes the taxonomy for:
- Pillar 2 liquidity, which follows policy statement PS2/18 on Pillar 2 liquidity that was published in February 2018
- Ring-fencing, which follows PS3/17, titled “The implementation of ring-fencing: reporting and residual matters - responses to CP25/16 and Chapter 5 of CP36/16,” that was published in February 2017
The taxonomy, data point model dictionary, annotated templates, and validation rules represent the requirements for reporting of Pillar 2 data as set out in PS2/18 and for ring-fencing data as set out in PS3/17. Version 3.0.0 BoE XBRL taxonomy is expected to be published in April 2018. The GABRIEL system will be used to collect Pillar 2 reporting data and the ring-fencing data. The taxonomies for financial statements and Capital+ reporting remain unchanged from Version 2.0.0 of the BoE Banking XBRL taxonomy.
