OSFI Amends BCAR Return and Instructions for Q1 2018 Filing
OSFI issued a letter announcing the additional changes that were made to the Financial Information Committee (FIC) Basel Capital Adequacy Reporting (BCAR) regulatory return and instructions. The changes apply to Chief Financial Officers of Banks and Federally Regulated Trust and Loan Companies, and Principal Officers of Foreign Bank Branches.
The following BCAR changes are effective for the first quarter 2018 filing:
- BCAR return template (Schedule 1). Reordering of the memo items, moving the instructional text into the each memo item heading, and numbering of the memo items
- BCAR instruction. Changes under Schedule 1, Schedule 30, and Schedule 40A
