EC Issues Corrigendum to Regulation on Regulatory Capital for Insurers
EC issued corrigendum to the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1542 of June 08, 2017 (published in the Official Journal of the European Union on September 14, 2017). Regulation (EU) 2017/1542, which amends Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/35, addresses the calculation of regulatory capital requirements for certain categories of assets held by insurance and reinsurance undertakings (infrastructure corporates).
The corrigendum announces the correction of the formula for capital requirement for equity risk, or SCREquity, on page 18 of the EU Regulation 2017/1542 (Article 1(4)(c)). Regulation (EU) 2015/35 supplements Directive 2009/138/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of insurance and reinsurance (Solvency II).
