    SNB Updates Forms for Large Exposure Reporting

    SNB updated forms and the related documentation for large exposure reporting on group (LER_K Version 1.2) and parent company basis (LER_U Version 1.2). Forms for reporting the 20 largest exposures on both group (LER20_K version 1.1) and parent company basis (LER20_U Version 1.1) were also updated.

    The reporting frequency for LER_U is quarterly, with the form being valid from  September 30, 2019. The reporting frequency for LER_K is semi-annual, with the date of validity being December 31, 2019. The reporting frequency of LER20_U and LER20_K is annual, with the date of validity being December 31, 2019. These forms must be submitted within six weeks after the reference date. The reporting forms are in accordance with the large exposure rules and the FINMA Circular 19/1 "Risk diversification – banks." 

    The proprietary companies of financial groups or of financial conglomerates dominated by banks or security traders, which are subject to group and conglomerate supervision by FINMA, are required to report data and, in this context, are required to comply with capital adequacy and large exposure reporting regulations on a consolidated basis. Proprietary companies of subsidiary financial groups are also required to report data in accordance with Article 11 of the Capital Adequacy Ordinance, unless they have been exempted from this obligation by FINMA.
