FSB Appoints Chair of Supervisory and Regulatory Cooperation Committee
Ryozo Himino has been appointed as Chair of the FSB Standing Committee on Supervisory and Regulatory Cooperation (SRC), for a two-year term starting on September 01, 2019. Mr. Himino currently serves as the Vice Minister for International Affairs at JFSA. Mr. Himino succeeds Norman Chan, the Chief Executive of HKMA, who has served as SRC Chair since April 2017.
The SRC mandate includes addressing key financial stability issues related to the development of supervisory and regulatory policies, assisting in management of the cross-border issues that arise among supervisors and regulators, setting guidelines for and overseeing the establishment and effective functioning of supervisory colleges, and advising on and monitoring best practices in meeting regulatory standards.
