SBV Publishes Draft Circular on Special Loans for Credit Institutions
SBV published a draft circular to replace the Circular No. 01/2018/TT-NHNN, which regulates special loans from SBV, Vietnam Deposit Insurance, Vietnam Cooperative Bank, and other credit institutions to specially controlled credit institutions. SBV, Vietnam Deposit Insurance, and Vietnam Cooperative Bank provide special loans to credit institutions under certain specific cases, including to support liquidity for credit institutions when credit institutions are in danger of insolvency. The key topics covered in the draft circular include amount, term, and interest rate of special loan; conditions related to collateral; and extension and repayment of special loans. SBV published another draft circular that amends and supplements some articles of Circular No. 39/2013/TT-NHNN on determining, setting up, managing, and using risk provisions of SBV.
