BCL Publishes Documentation for AnaCredit Reporting in July 2022

    July 27, 2022

The Central Bank of Luxembourg (BCL) updated the list of reporting agents, the Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange (SDMX) schema (version 1.0.7), and the comparison methodology between AnaCredit and the balance sheet items report (iBSI / S 1.1) as well as interest rate data (iMIR / S 1.5).

Version 1.0.7 of the SDMX schema will become applicable from September 25, 2022. As of version 1.0.7 of the SDMX schema, the functioning of submissions and resubmissions will change. For the time being, reporting agents are requested to always submit submissions and resubmissions in the latest version of the SDMX schemas. Once version 1.0.7 will be applicable, all submissions and resubmissions will have to be made using the version of the SDMX schemas in force on the relevant reference data. As an exception, all submissions and resubmissions for the periods from September 2022 and earlier shall be made with the SDMX version 1.0.7 (as soon as it becomes applicable).

In addition, BCL published methodology used for the comparison between AnaCredit and FINREP (version 1.0.1). The European Central Bank (ECB) and the national central banks have introduced a quarterly comparison report between AnaCredit and FINREP with an objective to evaluate the consistency between the reports and verify the completeness of AnaCredit data. The comparison with FINREP data will enter into force at the ECB from June 2022 onward and all reporting agents will be subject to the comparison report and have to correct any discrepancies in the data.
