BoE Publishes Draft of Version 1.1.0 of Form AS/FV Taxonomy

    December 02, 2019

BoE announced, via the Statistical Notice 2019/06, that it has published a public working draft of version 1.1.0 of the taxonomy for Form AS (MFI holdings of securities collection)/Form FV (Financial Vehicle Corporations return), alongside the related technical artefacts and a change log. Feedback is requested by December 13, 2019. BoE aims to publish the final version of the updated AS/FV XBRL taxonomy in early 2020. It is envisioned that the new taxonomy will come into effect from first quarter of 2020 (reporting of which is deferred until summer 2020).

The taxonomy, data point model (DPM) dictionary, annotated templates, and validation rules have been updated to fix a number of bugs identified in the original taxonomy and to make reporting more robust. Many of the validations have been updated and changed from non-blocking to blocking and several optional URI fields have been added. The full list of changes can be found in the change log.

Additionally, the Statistical Notice highlighted that the collection of Form VP has been discontinued with immediate effect, following a consultation. The December 2019 submission is no longer required. Form VP was being used to collect data on UK monetary financial institutions’ securitization special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and covered bond limited liability partnerships (LLPs). The Securitization SPV and Covered Bond LLP lists will no longer be updated, but the current lists will continue to be accessible on the website.
