EBA Issues Update on Reporting Framework 3.0

    August 06, 2021

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published an updated tool that specifies the mapping between quantitative dis, closure data points and the relevant supervisory reporting data points. The updated mapping tool applies to the reporting framework 3.0 and the implementing technical standards on Pillar 3 public disclosures of institutions. The updates included in this version are mainly driven by changes during the adoption process of the implementing technical standards on supervisory reporting and the implementing technical standards on public disclosures.

Changes were made with respect to the regulatory capital related templates (EU CC1 EU CCyB1, EU CCR4), key metrics template (EU KM1),credit risk related templates (EU CR 1, EU CR 3-5, EU CR 7 & 7A, EU CR 10), securitization templates (EU SEC 1-4), operational risk template (EU OR 1), and the leverage ratio, liquidity coverage ratio, and net stable funding ratio templates. The mapping tool is intended to facilitate compliance with disclosure requirements and to improve the consistency and quality of disclosures by banks. The EBA reporting framework 3.0, which was expected to apply from June 30, 2021, comprises amendments linked to the Capital Requirements Regulation and Directive (CRR2/CRD5), the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD2), and the Investment Firms Regulation (IFR).
