Bank of Italy updated the Circular 303, which sets out provisions for implementation of certain reporting obligations for the statistics on holdings of securities by reporting banking groups (SHSG). Among the various amendments, this update modifies reporting obligations with respect to the recent changes in the ECB guidance. The new reporting obligations will start from the accounting date of June 30, 2020. Circular 303 contains information on the reporting schemes, integrates the rules for filling in the statistical reports on the securities holdings of the banking groups as defined in the Securities Holdings Statistics (SHS) Regulation, and explains the methods of transmitting information to the Bank of Italy.
