APRA Revises Final Standard on Liquidity Reporting Requirements

    July 07, 2017

APRA published a response to the submissions on its consultation regarding revised liquidity reporting requirements. APRA has also released the final revised ARS 210, which incorporates the amendments as set out in this letter. The consultation on the revised Reporting Standard ARS 210.0 Liquidity (ARS 210) was released on March 24, 2017 and comments were due by May 05, 2017.

APRA proposed amending ARS 210 to align the reporting requirements for liquidity with the revised Prudential Standard APS 210 Liquidity (APS 210). The amendments related primarily to the introduction of a new reporting form on the net stable funding ratio (NSFR) as well as other changes to streamline the current statistical reporting. APRA received eight submissions from authorized deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) and industry associations. APRA confirms that it expects all authorized deposit-taking institutions to commence reporting under the revised ARS 210 from January 01, 2018, with the first data submission due for the quarter ending March 31,2018. The authorized deposit-taking institutions will be required to submit the Reporting Form ARF 210.4 three-year funding plan (ARF 210.4), in line with their end of financial year.
