BCRA updated the minimum capital requirements and liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) rules under the Basel standards for banks. BCRA also published updates related to certain aspects of the information transparency regime.
The key topics updated under the LCR rules cover authorities of financial entities, minimum capital requirements of financial institutions, guidelines for risk management in financial entities, and net stable funding ratio (NSFR). Under the minimum capital requirements rules, the key updates are related to aggregation of data on risks and preparation of reports, credit assistance to non-financial credit providers, authorities of financial institutions, authorization and composition of the capital of financial institutions, and assignment of credit portfolio.
