Bundesbank published Circular No. 81/2020, which provides information on submission of the AnaCredit contractual partner master data. The information relates to the legal entity identifier (LEI) and the changes in contractual partner ID for monetary financial institutions or MFIs.
Earlier, in July 2020, Bundesbank had published Circular No. 45/2020, informing institutions that the contract partner IDs in the AnaCredit report must be kept stable and that it is not possible to change this ID. The monetary financial institutions have an option of reporting the Register of Institutions and Affiliates Database (RIAD) code as a contract partner identifier. However, this option for the RIAD code as the contractual partner identifier is only available for the first AnaCredit report that is submitted to Bundesbank. A later change to the RIAD code as the contractual partner ID for monetary financial institutions is not possible. However, in the long term, Bundesbank is working on an option to switch to the RIAD code for the contractual partner identification.
