Bank of Italy published a notification that it has updated certain documentation on the website for AnaCredit reporting. The notification also communicates the start of the testing phase for Anacredit reporting. The notification refers to the website updates related to the XML schema files, the reporting handbook, the question and answer (Q&A) document, the list of intermediaries required to report monthly and quarterly (including the exempted banks), and the information on test environment.

The notification also highlights that AnaCredit (the national component) will start with the accounting date of June 30, 2018 (with the deadline for submission being September 03, 2018). Therefore, reporting institutions must communicate by May 30 the telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of the staff responsible for monitoring the AnaCredit survey, along with the certified e-mail addresses (and any other functional boxes) to be used for official communications on the survey in question.

ECB had approved the AnaCredit regulation (EU 2016/13) on the collection of granular credit and credit risk data in May 2016. This data initiative, known as Analytical Credit Dataset or AnaCredit, comprises the collection of granular credit data based on harmonized ECB statistical reporting requirements. The objective is to establish a common granular credit database shared between the Eurosystem members, comprising input data for all euro area member states. The AnaCredit data will support ECB and the central banks in performing their central banking and supervisory functions, including monetary policy analysis and operations, risk management, financial stability surveillance, statistics, macro-prudential policy, and research.
